This piece is the fourth large grass themed work to date. The grass in this painting is a negative texture created solely using a palette knife, in contrast to earlier approaches which used a combination of extrusion and knife-work. The aim was to explore a stronger use of deep perspective and a greater amount of visual detail than previous grass landscapes.
