Art by the Market—Open Call

Please note: “Art by the Market” is no longer running—I have moved location and regrettably no longer have access to the space. Thank-you to everyone who participated. This page is presented merely for historical purposes.

Introducing “Art by the Market”—an open opportunity for artists to hang out, create, exhibit and meet the public on Market Day in downtown Kitchener!

There’s a stereotype that many artists are lonely, locked up in the studio, suffering for their art. While many artists do prefer to create alone (and love it), others like to have fun creating together. Every weekend while the weather is warm, thousands of people flock to Kitchener’s open air Downtown Market—the kind of people who love outdoor culture! If you’d like to engage them, and spend some time making art with other like-minded artists, consider this an open invitation to come down to the corner of Market Lane and Eby St N and get your art on!

To express your interest, or ask questions, contact us.

When: Saturdays, 9AM-3PM starting August 4th—continuing weekly while the outdoor market is open (weather permitting).
