Just outside Kitchener, Ontario, Snyders Flats is a rehabilitated gravel pit that is an idyllic swimming hole in the hot days of summer. Surrounded by naturalized meadows and forest, the night sky arches overhead while the sleeping city’s lights glow on the horizon.
