Based on the lower end of the marsh area at Kitchener’s 200-acre green jewel, Hidden Valley, the lights of the city stain the horizon orange above the verdant summer forest as the moon sets over the far tree line.
This painting was created for submission to the “Hidden Valley Revealed” commemorative exhibition at Homer Watson House & Gallery, celebrating not only the landscape, but the late artist Daphne Nicholls and her love for the valley.
